She now explores painting Australian birds in their natural habitat, being fascinated with the Australian flora and fauna since moving from Zimbabwe. As a mainly self-taught artist, she paints subjects that touch the emotions of persons who enjoy the beauty of our surroundings, emphasising strong draughtsmanship in a fluid style with a warm, colourful palette.
Local artist and committee member, Col Darley enjoys working in pastels. His landscapes and portraits feature beautiful details and a fabulous sense of colour and tone. Col conducts a weekly workshop to share his creative talents from his studio in Callala Beach.

Samantha is a fibre and textile artist working primarily in felt but also in textile printing and dyeing. Her work reflects the world around her. Samantha enjoys the technical aspect of working with textiles and the visual interest created through this medium.
Eve loves the challenges associated with watercolour. She enjoys studying the work of both Australian and International artists. Having lived in the Shoalhaven for nine years, she still enjoys discovering new places to visit for inspiration for her works. Eve enjoys meeting new people in the art world.

Her works develop in the studio where they may become more abstract or decorative. Lynne also engages in life drawing.
Martin has been a resident of the the Shoalhaven for around 25 years. He started painting just on 9 years ago. He mainly paints in oils and primarily depicts landscapes and seascapes from the local region as well as from his travels. He prefers compositions that appeal to him, especially ones that feature Australia’s rich, striking light.
