About Us
The Shoalhaven Art Society has a long and vibrant history, born from a collective desire to celebrate and support the region’s growing community of artists.
Established by a small group of passionate local creatives in 1963, the Society has evolved over the decades into a diverse cultural organisation known for its exhibitions, workshops, and dedication to supporting community arts. Our story is one of collaboration, perseverance, and a shared commitment to nurturing the visual arts across the Shoalhaven.
Supporting Creativity in the Community
The Shoalhaven is a place where creativity thrives. With its dramatic coastlines, bushland, and diverse communities, the region has long been a source of inspiration for artists working in every medium. The Shoalhaven Art Society embraces this creative energy by providing opportunities for artists to connect, learn, and showcase their work. From emerging talent to established professionals, the Society celebrates the rich tapestry of artistic expression that is unique to the area.
